Meanwhile back in North Carolina

Shallow-Minded has a new bottom job.  I'm up in Hampstead, North Carolina for two weeks staying with a local lady who is a very gracious host.

I have rebuilt the seats and mounted the pedestal for the autopilot, nested in the seat.
The cockpit seating is spacious and quit comfortable.

The stick steering device is now installed conveniently at the back of the port cockpit seat.

The remote control for the motor is conveniently located on the starboard side of the cockpit.  Now Shallow-Minded has complete cockpit control of the motor.

Control lines lead aft. The steering cable is a little too short by my reckoning.  I'll be replacing it with a 9 foot model to assure less binding in the loop.

Completed mounting of the 20 hp Tohatsu power trim and tilt, remote control motor.

New anti-skid paint added to foredeck.

In other encouraging news, I am having a trailer built for Shallow-Minded.  We will be rescuing her from the boat yard next month if all goes well.
It is a custom built trailer by Sail Trailers in Columbus, GA
